We chose SimpleRegistry because we feel strongly about reduce, reuse, and recycle. We wanted our wedding to be about the people and the love (and the food). We didn’t really need any gifts, but as you’ve probably heard, when you get married you have to direct the gift-giving because there WILL be gift-giving.

SimpleRegistry was a splendid direction. We put a few actual items on the registry like new sheets and a backyard compositor. But mostly, we had honeymoon experiences listed. It was fantastic to have friends and family gift us unforgettable honeymoon experiences. It was extra special to think about our loved ones while we stayed at bed and breakfasts, went out on biking excursions, or enjoyed a little murder mystery theatre at a winery.

Meanwhile, we’re most excited about something that hasn’t even happened yet. We registered for a Backyard Abundance Consult. We recently bought a home and are interested in adding sustainable, practical, and low-maintenance aspects to our landscape. There’s a local organization that will come to your home and give you tips on those things for $100. Now that’s one very unique and super-awesome wedding gift that we couldn’t have registered for any other way.

Our friends and family seemed to really enjoy using SimpleRegistry. They told us that it was easy and fun and they got to see the things we really wanted. Several folks got us “pieces” of many different items. Each SR registry is as unique as each couple that signs up. It truly is freedom for everyone!
