It is awesome and at the same time overwhelming to think that as a parent you will responsible for your baby's first interactions with the world. Here are some ideas on a few items to help you keep track of the many memories you will create together.
iPhone 4.0
If there is one thing I've learned as a new parent it is that babies won't wait for you to find your camera just so that you can capture that first smile, step or song. The iPhone 4.0 is a handy tool with HD video and recording and a 5 megapixel camera ensuring that your photos and video capture those spur of the moment memories in high quality. Even better, send photos and videos instantly, keeping those long-distance grandparents happy. I personally overcame my guilt of living away from family by sending my parents a daily photo of the bambino.
Baby Book
I've been tracking a lot of "firsts" using the notes function of my iPhone 4.0. I usually manage to jot these down when I have a hand free during those nighttime feedings and then transfer them whenever I have a chance to this super cute and customizable baby book by rubylovedesigns. I love the idea of my daughter having a book she can hold in her hands full of memories and stories from her childhood.
Professional Photography
I wasn't very interested in having professional newborn photos taken until the day our baby was born and I realized how quickly she was changing. Every time I look at these photos I'm reminded of how amazingly tiny she was and the feelings I had the first time I held her in my arms. I just wish we would have planned ahead a bit more and had them taken sooner (our photographer told us the best newborn photos are when the baby is two weeks old). The photographers at Artist Group are top notch.
